Welcome to The Arc of Denton County!
 

Mission Statement

The Arc of Denton County, a non-profit, volunteer organization, is committed to expanding opportunities for people with any developmental disability to exercise the same rights, freedoms and responsibilities as their fellow citizens by providing family support, public awareness, advocacy service and referral.

Annual Awards Banquet

It's time to send your nominations!


The Arc Annual Awards Banquet will be held April 19, 2010.
If you know someone who
has
"positively influenced the attitudes and thinking of the general public regarding the life and ability of a person with intellectual or developmental disabilites" please let us know about them.
All nominations are due by April 1, 2010.

The Arc of Texas 17th Annual Inclusion Works! Conference
The premiere conference on inclusive education practices in Texas

Across the United States and around the globe, young people on college campuses, in high school cafeterias and workaday offices have joined a movement of mutual respect and human dignity called Spread the Word to End the Word.  The goal: get people to stop and think about their hurtful and disparaging use of the word “retard” and pledge to stop using it.
